The Pr’ Janez Herb Farm is situated in the hamlet of Zelenc in the pleasant mountain village of Gradišče pri Litiji, 455 m above sea level. It is surrounded by forest. The Rozina spouses have been involved in livestock farming, growing vegetables for domestic needs, and since 2004, growing and gathering herbs. Mrs Pavla has been training in the field of herbalism for many years, and has also obtained a certificate of national professional qualification – herbalist grower.

Her herb garden has expanded over the years, and today we find 35 different herbs on it. All the herbs are grown without artificial fertilisers and pesticides. They are hand-picked, dried and cut. Most herbs are used to make herbal tea blends. These are hand-packed in neat packaging. They prepare homemade tea, women’s, family, men’s, and children’s tea, soothing and purifying tea, tea for colds, stomach problems, and KRRT (nettle, dandelion, yarrow, plantain) tea. They also make herbal vinegar, vegetable supplements…

The sunny location on the otherwise steep and hilly terrain has been utilised perfectly, and visitors are offered a guided tour of the herb garden in the middle of unspoiled nature, with a presentation of herbs and spices. Through the stories, visitors can learn about the beneficial and healing effects of herbs and spices, get a lot of useful advice, and write down a recipe from our grandmothers.
